LARA
BASKETBALL
Unlike school athletic programs, LARA basketball does not
consist of organized games or leagues. Rather, we provide instructional sessions
only—with the focus on fun. This allows us to make sure that every child gets a chance to
play, learn the fundamentals of the game, and improve their skills. All Boys
and Girls Kindergarten through Sixth Grades are eligible to participate.
Our program’s success depends largely on the guidance and support of parents,
especially those willing to volunteer as coaches. If you can fill one of the
open positions we have available or have any further questions, contact Tracy

Note: Each child will receive an LARA basketball shirt at
no additional cost!
3rd and 4th grade only: An optional league
opportunity can be added to the Saturday morning sessions for an
additional cost of $65. The deadline to register and add this option is
Nov. 3rd. This option involves playing a weeknight game against other
schools in the Forest Lake School District. (Grade 3 will play Thursdays,
Grade 4 will play Mondays. There is the possibility of some Saturday games
as necessary. Games will be held at various Forest Lake Elementary
Schools.) addition to the Forest Lake League, there will be two Saturdays
where the 4th grade teams will travel to another school to play a 3 game
tournament. All 3 games for each tournament are played in one day,
and the cost is included in the $65 fee.
